Porcelain veneers in Turkey: what you need to know
Porcelain veneers — often called laminate veneers or E.max veneers — are the gold standard of cosmetic dentistry. Lithium disilicate ceramic combines high strength with a translucency that closely imitates natural enamel, so light passes into the veneer and reflects back the way it does from a real tooth.
Each veneer is designed from your digital smile plan, milled or pressed in the laboratory and hand-finished by a dental technician, who adds subtle colour gradients and surface texture. Because the ceramic is so thin, only a minimal amount of enamel is usually removed — and in some cases none at all ("no-prep" or "minimal-prep" veneers).

How the right shade is chosen
A natural smile is rarely the brightest shade on the chart. Your dentist looks at the whites of your eyes, your skin tone and your lower teeth, and shows several options in daylight. Many patients who ask for "the whitest possible" choose a softer shade once they see it in the mirror next to their face.
Temporary veneers: what to expect
Temporaries protect the prepared teeth and show roughly the planned shape. They are made from resin, so they are less polished and slightly bulkier than the final veneers. Avoid biting hard food with them.
When porcelain veneers are not the right choice
If your teeth are very crowded, if you grind heavily without wearing a night guard, or if much of the enamel is already missing, other options — aligners, crowns or a combination — may give a longer-lasting result. A careful dentist will tell you so.

Are E.max veneers strong enough?
Yes. Once bonded to enamel, lithium disilicate veneers are very strong for everyday use. A night guard is recommended if you grind your teeth.
Can porcelain veneers be whitened later?
No — ceramic does not change colour with bleaching. If you want whiter natural teeth elsewhere, it is best to whiten before your veneer shade is chosen.
Are my teeth sensitive afterwards?
Some people notice mild sensitivity to cold for a few days after preparation. It usually disappears quickly.
What is the difference between laminate and E.max veneers?
Laminate describes the thin shell; E.max is the most commonly used material (lithium disilicate). Most "laminate veneers" today are made from E.max.
Can I choose the shape of my veneers?
Yes. Shapes range from softer, rounder forms to more angular ones. The mock-up lets you compare before deciding.
Do I need veneers on my lower teeth?
Only if they are visible when you speak and smile. Otherwise whitening often creates enough harmony.
