The biggest complaint about conventional dentures is movement, especially in the lower jaw. That is where implant-retained dentures make the difference: two to four implants act as anchors, and the denture clicks onto them. Getting used to a new denture
- Speaking: read aloud for a few minutes each day; most people speak normally within one to two weeks.
- Eating: start with soft food cut into small pieces and chew on both sides at the same time.
- Sore spots: do not adjust the denture yourself — small pressure points are corrected at your follow-up.
- Saliva: increased saliva in the first days is normal and settles quickly.
When to consider implants
If your lower denture never feels stable, if you avoid certain foods or if you rely on adhesive every day, two implants can make a dramatic difference. Your existing plan can include this upgrade from the start.

Can I sleep with my denture?
