Composite veneers in Turkey: what you need to know
Composite veneers are built up layer by layer from tooth-coloured resin and shaped by hand directly in the mouth. They are ideal for smaller changes: closing a gap between the front teeth, lengthening worn edges, repairing a chip or evening out the shape of a few teeth.
Because most or all of your natural enamel stays in place, composite is a reversible, tooth-friendly option. The downside is durability: resin is softer than ceramic, absorbs stains more easily and usually needs polishing or renewing after several years. We will always tell you honestly when porcelain would serve you better.

Composite veneers procedure step by step
Before you travel, you know what happens on which day.
- 01
Consultation and shade
Your dentist assesses your teeth and selects composite shades that match or brighten your smile.
- 02
Surface preparation
The enamel surface is cleaned and conditioned — usually without drilling.
- 03
Layering and sculpting
Resin is applied in layers, shaped and cured with light.
- 04
Polishing
The surface is polished to a natural gloss and your bite is checked.
Composite veneers: recovery & aftercare
- First 48 hours
Avoid strongly coloured food and drinks.
- Every day
Gentle brushing and flossing.
- Every 6 months
Professional polish to maintain gloss.
Composite veneers vs composite bonding
Bonding repairs a limited area — a chipped corner, a small gap, a short edge. Composite veneers cover the full front surface of the tooth to change colour and shape more comprehensively. Both use the same material and technique.
How long does an appointment take?
Expect about 45–60 minutes per tooth for full composite veneers, or less for small bonding repairs. Six to eight teeth are typically completed over one or two long sessions.
Keeping composite looking fresh
- Drink coloured drinks with a straw where possible and rinse with water afterwards.
- Avoid smoking, which stains resin quickly.
- Ask for a professional polish at each check-up.
- Small chips can be repaired in minutes — do not wait until they grow.

How long do composite veneers last?
Typically around 4–8 years, depending on your habits and care. Regular professional polishing helps keep them looking fresh.
Do composite veneers stain?
They can absorb colour from coffee, tea, red wine and smoking more easily than porcelain. Polishing at check-ups removes most surface staining.
Can I switch to porcelain later?
Yes. Because composite preserves the natural tooth, you can move to porcelain veneers in the future.
Are composite veneers a good choice for a full smile makeover?
They can be, especially if preserving enamel is a priority. For long-term colour stability, porcelain is usually recommended.
Can composite veneers be whitened?
No — like porcelain, composite does not respond to bleaching. Whiten first if needed, then match the composite.
Is composite a good option for teenagers?
Often yes, because it preserves enamel and can be replaced later. Your dentist will assess the individual case.
