Missing teeth affect more than your smile: they change how you chew and speak, and over time how the neighbouring teeth sit. The good news is that every gap can be restored, often far more affordably in Istanbul than at home. Here is how each option works, who it suits and how long it takes.

Missing one tooth

Replacing a single missing tooth usually comes down to two options. A single tooth implant replaces the root and the crown on its own, without touching the healthy teeth on either side, and is the longest-lasting choice. A dental bridge is faster and needs only one trip, but the two neighbouring teeth are prepared to carry it. If the gap has been there a while and the bone has shrunk, a small bone graft may be planned first. In your consultation a dentist tells you which of the two protects your own teeth best.

Missing several teeth

When several teeth are gone, the question is whether the gaps sit next to each other or are spread around the jaw. A few implants can carry a fixed bridge across a larger gap, so you do not need one implant per tooth. Where teeth are missing in different places, a mix of implants and a bridge or a partial denture is often the most economical plan. Everything is mapped on a 3D scan on your first day in Istanbul and written down tooth by tooth before anything starts.

Missing all teeth in a jaw

To replace a whole arch, you do not need an implant for every tooth. All-on-4 uses four implants to hold a full fixed bridge; All-on-6 adds two more for extra support where the bone allows it. Both give you fixed teeth you clean like your own. If you would rather keep costs down, implant-supported dentures clip onto two to four implants and can be taken out for cleaning. Traditional dentures remain the simplest, removable option.

Fixed or removable?

Fixed teeth (implants, bridges, All-on-4 and All-on-6) stay in your mouth and feel closest to natural teeth; you look after them with brushing and regular check-ups. Removable options (full or partial dentures, or implant-retained dentures you unclip) cost less and are easier to adjust later, but they are less stable when you bite. Most patients choose fixed teeth where the bone allows and a removable plan where it is the more sensible or affordable route. There is no single right answer, only the one that fits your jaw and your budget.

How many trips to Turkey?

A bridge or a set of dentures is usually finished in one trip of a few days. Anything with implants normally needs two trips: the implants are placed on the first visit, then after three to four months of healing you come back for the final teeth. Between the trips you wear temporary teeth, so you are never left with a gap. See exactly how a treatment trip is planned on how it works.

What tooth replacement costs in Turkey

We do not print prices on this page because every mouth is different, and the honest number only comes after a dentist has seen your scan. You can see transparent starting prices for implants, bridges, All-on-4 and dentures, with a written plan to follow, on our Turkey teeth cost page. Compare all the ways to restore your smile on the treatments overview, or send your details and a coordinator will put a tooth-by-tooth plan together for you.
