The Hollywood smile Turkey price you see advertised is almost never the price of your smile. "Hollywood smile" is a marketing term, not a clinical one. At one clinic it means ten porcelain veneers on the upper front teeth and whitening for the rest; at another it means twenty-eight zirconia crowns on every tooth in the mouth. The two differ several times over in price, and even more in what they do to your teeth.
This guide explains what you are paying for, how to count the units in a plan, what a fair package includes, what the same work typically costs at home and how to avoid paying for crowns you do not need. Doctor Turka's current starting prices per veneer and per crown are on the dental costs page. A Hollywood smile is the sum of the units in your plan, so those per-unit prices are what matter.
What is a Hollywood smile in Turkey?
In practice, a Hollywood smile is any plan that changes the colour, shape and alignment of the visible teeth at once, so that the smile looks bright, even and symmetrical. It is usually made from one or more of:
- Porcelain veneers (E.max or layered ceramic) on healthy front teeth
- Crowns (E.max or zirconia) on teeth that are already heavily filled, root-treated or broken
- Composite veneers as a lower-cost, reversible option
- Whitening for teeth that are left natural
- Gum contouring where the gum line is uneven
Our Hollywood smile treatment page describes the clinical process in detail. Here we focus on the numbers behind it.
Hollywood smile Turkey price: count the units first
Because veneers and crowns are priced per tooth, the number of teeth is the biggest single driver. Most people show 8-10 upper teeth and 6-8 lower teeth in a broad smile. Molars at the back are rarely visible.
| Plan | Typical units | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|
| Upper smile zone | 8 veneers | Healthy teeth, narrow smile, lower teeth fine after whitening |
| Full upper smile | 10 veneers + lower whitening | The most common plan for a broad smile |
| Upper and lower | 16-20 veneers | Wide smile showing many lower teeth, worn lower edges |
| Mixed plan | 10-20 units, veneers and crowns | Some teeth heavily filled or root-treated |
| Full mouth rehabilitation | 24-28 crowns or implant work | Worn, broken or missing teeth, bite problems |
Anything beyond 20 units is rarely visible and should have a clinical reason. When the plan reaches the back teeth, it is no longer a cosmetic smile but a full mouth reconstruction, which is a different conversation.

Veneers or crowns: the choice that changes everything
This decision matters more than any price difference.
| Veneer | Crown | |
|---|---|---|
| Tooth reduction | usually 0.3-0.7 mm, mostly on the front surface | usually 1-2 mm all round |
| Suitable for | healthy teeth, colour and shape changes | heavily filled, root-treated or broken teeth |
| Effect on the tooth | enamel largely preserved | much of the natural tooth removed |
| Risk to the nerve | low | higher, especially on young teeth |
| Typical lifespan in studies | often 10-15 years or more | often 10-15 years or more |
A plan that proposes crowns on twenty healthy teeth in a young adult is usually a sign that the clinic is working faster, not better: crowns tolerate less precise preparation and hide crooked teeth without orthodontics. Ask, tooth by tooth, "veneer or crown, and why?" If the answer is "it lasts longer" for a healthy tooth, get a second opinion. Our guide to Turkey teeth explains what goes wrong when this step is skipped.
Materials and what they mean for your quote
| Material | Best for | Look | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| E.max (lithium disilicate, Ivoclar) | Veneers, front crowns | Very natural translucency | The usual first choice for the smile zone |
| Layered zirconia | Front crowns, bridges | Natural, slightly less translucent | Strong core with a ceramic layer on top |
| Monolithic zirconia | Back crowns, grinders | More opaque | Very strong; less lifelike at the front |
| Composite | Budget or reversible veneers | Good when fresh, stains over time | Needs polishing and renewal |
E.max and layered zirconia sit at a similar level per unit; composite is lower. The ceramic brand is one of the things that is not much cheaper in Turkey, which is why an unusually low quote should always name its material. For a deeper comparison, see porcelain veneers.
Choosing a shade that still looks natural
The shade does not change the price, but it changes how the result is judged for years. The brightest bleach shades look striking in photos and artificial in daylight, especially next to older skin or grey hair. A good compromise is one or two steps brighter than your whitened natural teeth, with some translucency at the biting edges and slightly warmer canines. Ask to see the mock-up in daylight, not only under the surgery lamp, and take a photo from conversational distance before you approve it.

Typical home-country fees for the same work
These are commonly quoted private fees in 2025-2026. They vary by city and practice and are shown for comparison only.
| Market | E.max veneer, per tooth (typical) | 10 upper veneers (typical) | 20 units (typical) |
|---|---|---|---|
| UK private | £600-1,200 | £6,000-12,000 | £12,000-24,000 |
| Ireland private | €700-1,200 | €7,000-12,000 | €14,000-24,000 |
NHS dentistry and most insurance plans do not cover cosmetic veneers. Because lab work makes up a large share of every veneer, the relative saving in Turkey grows with the number of units, which is why a Hollywood smile is among the treatments most clearly worth travelling for.

Budgeting the whole trip
A Hollywood smile is usually done in one trip of five to seven days.
| Item | Typical range | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Return flights UK/IE-Istanbul | roughly £100-350 | Depends on season |
| Hotel and transfers | often included in the package | Check the number of nights |
| Meals and local travel | roughly £30-60 per day | |
| Time off work | 4-6 working days | |
| Travel insurance | small | Declare the purpose of travel |
| Night guard | small | Recommended if you clench or grind |
| Check-ups at home | local fees | Hygiene every 6 months |
Timeline in Istanbul
| Day | What happens |
|---|---|
| Day 1 | Examination, X-ray, digital design, mock-up in your mouth |
| Day 2 | Gum contouring if planned, tooth preparation, scans, temporaries |
| Days 3-5 | Laboratory work; free days, a try-in of the veneers |
| Days 5-7 | Final bonding, bite check, polish, aftercare instructions |
A worked way to compare with home
Take your home quote for the same number of units in the same material. Subtract the Turkish quote, then subtract flights, meals, insurance and the value of the days off work. What remains is your real saving. For 8-10 veneers or more, lab-heavy work usually leaves a clear margin; for three or four veneers it may not, and treating those at home can be the better decision.
How to compare Hollywood smile quotes line by line
- Number of units, upper and lower, listed tooth by tooth.
- Veneer or crown for each tooth, with the clinical reason for any crown.
- Material named (E.max, layered or monolithic zirconia, composite).
- Mock-up before any tooth is prepared.
- Shade: agreed on paper, with a natural option shown alongside the brightest.
- Whitening, gum contouring, night guard: included or extra.
- Hotel nights and transfers: number of nights stated.
- Guarantee: what is covered and how repairs work once you are home.
- Dentist: the name of the dentist who prepares and bonds your teeth.
Red flags of a too-cheap Hollywood smile
- A price "per smile" with no number of teeth
- Crowns proposed on healthy teeth without a reason
- The whole smile prepared and fitted in two or three days
- No mock-up, or shade chosen from a chart without trying it in
- One ultra-white shade for everyone, regardless of skin tone and age
- No named material
- A quote that grows once you are in the chair
Who a Hollywood smile is not for, and the alternatives
A full veneer smile is not the right plan for everyone.
- Crowded or rotated teeth: clear aligners first; veneers can then be thinner, or unnecessary.
- Colour only: professional whitening often achieves enough on its own.
- Small chips and gaps: composite bonding is reversible and conservative.
- Active gum disease or decay: must be treated first; veneers on inflamed gums fail early.
- Heavy grinding: possible with care and a night guard, but the risk of fractures is higher.
- Under around 18: teeth and gums are still changing.
Maintenance and long-term costs
Porcelain veneers need the same care as natural teeth: brushing, flossing or interdental brushes and a professional clean every six months. Wear a night guard if you grind. Over 10-15 years some veneers may need to be replaced, which is part of the long-term budget.
If a veneer chips or debonds after you are home, contact your coordinator first. Many small problems, such as a rough edge or a slightly high bite point, can be adjusted by a local dentist; a veneer that has come off can often be re-bonded if it is intact. The written guarantee sets out what is covered, which repairs are handled at the next visit to Istanbul and what documentation is needed. Read those terms before treatment, not after a problem appears.
Leave your contact details and our patient coordinator will call or write to you. A dentist then assesses your case and you receive a written, itemised plan listing every tooth, the material and the reason for each choice. See how it works for the steps.
